Carefully grasp a corner of the protective shipping film with your fingers and slowly peel it from the appliance surface. Do not use any sharp items to remove the film. Remove all of the film before using the appliance for the first time.

Some water resistant labels can be delaminated. The plastic outer layer can be removed. with a pair of tweezers, leaving the paper behind. Soak the paper with the lighter fluid and. remove it as the adhesive dissolves. I have removed literally thousands of labels over time and nothing works better than good.
Dissolve residue on non-porous surfaces with an oily baking soda paste. In a small bowl, combine and stir equal amounts of cooking oil and baking soda to form a thick paste. Xylene works pretty good for that God awful white plastic. Soak a rag with it and let the rag sit on the plastic for a few minutes. Then use a heat gun and a razor blade for the stubborn parts. My parts sat for 10 years before I bought the kit, so I know what you're dealing with.
